Kennedy School : Public Policy School at Harvard

John F. Kennedy School of Government, or KSG, was established in 1936 as Harvard's graduate school; for publich administration. The School, initially called Graduate School of Public Administration, or GSPA, has been the center to train public servants all over the world.

Upon the establishment of the School, Lucius N. Littauer, a Harvard alumnus of 1878 and a senator of NY, expressed the school's mission:

The constant need in the progress of government administration which this new school must meet is for clearer, more lucid thinking through better-trained men - men who must in the future with certainty and integrity solve the economic and administrative problems of their day.

In memory of the late President Kennedy, GSPA was renamed to John F. Kennedy School of Government in 1966.

Today, the School is regarded as one of the best schools in public administration.
